Scritto 言录（曾用名 BetterTranscribe；bundle com.jason.BetterTranscribe）
Scritto (言录) is a local-first recording, transcription, and translation app for Mac, iPhone and iPad. It is designed so that everything works entirely on your device by default. We do not collect, store, or sell any of your data. The app contains no analytics, no advertising, and no trackers.
By default, all of the following happens on-device using Apple frameworks, and never leaves your device: audio recording (microphone and system audio), transcription (Apple SpeechAnalyzer), translation (Apple Translation), speaker identification (on-device models), and text polishing (Apple on-device intelligence models). Transcripts and metadata are stored on your device and synced through your own iCloud. Audio files are moved into your own iCloud Drive when a recording finishes (see below); if you are not signed in to iCloud, or iCloud Drive is off, everything stays local.
If you are signed in to iCloud, your session library (text and metadata) syncs through your personal, private iCloud database (CloudKit). This data is protected by your Apple Account and is not accessible to the developer or anyone else.
Audio files are different: they are stored in this app's folder in your iCloud Drive (Documents/Recordings). That folder is visible to you in the Files app and in Finder, you can delete files there yourself, and the audio counts against your iCloud storage. This is still your own iCloud — the developer has no access to it.
You may optionally configure third-party cloud engines using your own API keys (for example: Deepgram for transcription, pyannoteAI for speaker identification, or LLM providers for translation). These are off by default and only used when you explicitly enable them.
If you grant calendar access, the app reads event names for the time of your recording, only to suggest a session name. This information stays on your device.
All data is under your control. Deleting a session inside the app removes its database record, its audio (local and the copy in iCloud Drive), its derived audio, its recovery snapshots and its system-search entry. Deleting a person removes their voiceprints and the enrolment audio. Derived caches on your other devices are cleaned up the next time the app starts there.
Deleting the app removes local data; audio already in iCloud Drive can also be deleted directly in the Files app or in your iCloud settings. What we cannot delete for you: anything a third-party cloud engine kept on its own servers — that is governed by that provider's policy (pyannoteAI, for example, states it deletes uploaded audio after 48 hours).
The app does not collect data from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new effective date.

默认情况下，以下处理全部通过 Apple 框架在设备端完成，数据不离开设备：录音（麦克风与系统音频）、转录（Apple SpeechAnalyzer）、翻译（Apple Translation）、说话人识别（端上模型）、文本整理（Apple 端上智能模型）。文稿与元数据存在设备本地并经你自己的 iCloud 同步；录音文件在录制完成后会移入你自己的 iCloud Drive（见下）。未登录 iCloud 或关闭 iCloud Drive 时，全部留在本地。

你可以选择用自己的 API key 配置第三方云端引擎（如 Deepgram 转录、pyannoteAI 声纹识别、LLM 服务商翻译）。它们默认关闭，仅在你显式启用后使用。
若你授权日历，App 仅读取录音时段对应的事件名，用于推荐会话名称。该信息不离开设备。
所有数据由你掌控。在 App 内删除一条会话，会一并删除它的数据库记录、音频（本地以及 iCloud Drive 里那份）、派生音频、重处理前的恢复副本，以及系统搜索里的条目。删除一个人，会一并删除 TA 的声纹与注册录音原件。你其他设备上的派生缓存会在那台设备下次启动 App 时清理。
删除 App 会清除设备本地数据；已经在 iCloud Drive 里的录音也可以直接在「文件」App 或系统 iCloud 设置里删除。我们替你删不掉的：第三方云端引擎留在它自己服务器上的内容——那由该服务商的政策决定（例如 pyannoteAI 声明上传音频 48 小时后删除）。
本 App 不向任何人（包括儿童）收集数据。
政策如有变更，将在本页更新并标注新的生效日期。
